Some volunteer stats...
Pulling this together took over 12 months of sorting...including:
Planning and negotiating options
Digging out the septic tank hole and installing the tank and associated plumbing with help from the team at Mikes Plumbing and Bill Holloway
Preparing and concreting the slabs
Building ramps and picnic tables
Removing two large rotten trees
Installing and painting the prefabricated toilets (from Cube in Hamilton)
Constructing the Fair Dinkum shelter, lining it and adding some seating
Landscaping and levelling the site
Installing signage featuring maps and tips of the area.
In total we clocked up 507 volunteer hours.
The total cost of the project was $82,000 plus the value of donations and volunteer hours
