Some volunteer stats...

Pulling this together took over 12 months of sorting...including:

  • Planning and negotiating options

  • Digging out the septic tank hole and installing the tank and associated plumbing with help from the team at Mikes Plumbing and Bill Holloway

  • Preparing and concreting the slabs

  • Building ramps and picnic tables

  • Removing two large rotten trees

  • Installing and painting the prefabricated toilets (from Cube in Hamilton)

  • Constructing the Fair Dinkum shelter, lining it and adding some seating

  • Landscaping and levelling the site

  • Installing signage featuring maps and tips of the area.

In total we clocked up 507 volunteer hours.

The total cost of the project was $82,000 plus the value of donations and volunteer hours
