Creating a welcome home at Bennett Rd Hub, Ongarue

Shelters and Picnic Tables

The volunteer team from FOTT have been responsible for installing a new shelter at the 16km mark, near the high point of the trail).  These shelters ensure that our walkers and cyclists have an option to get out of the weather whether it is rain, snow or blazing sun.  Constructed to reflect the style of old railway huts, these are functional but welcome additions to our trail.Along with these, the team have also constructed 14 picnic tables - again placed along the trail route at great...
